AccoladesDear Jim, Best Regards, Dear Mr. Kokas, First of all, I never gave proper recognition to John Bommarito, who last year was very organized, efficient and adaptable, in very extreme conditions (100 degree, humid weather). The site was distant, and traffic that day was heavy, yet he kept his cool. He personally obtained cannolis for us (my husband believe a wedding is not a wedding without cannolis). And, even though this year he was not intimately involved with our function, I felt very confident that it was going to be great, because he knew exactly what was going on and was able to answer my questions when I called. He appears to be an exceptional manager. I was also extremely please with Teresa, Sandy and the rest of the staff on September 8, whose names unfortunately, I cannot remember. Although my husband and I were very busy, I noticed many lovely little touches. I was very self-conscious about our house because it is half under construction, yet, these ladies acted, as it was perfectly normal. My husband created a little path so that our guests could find their way back, and it was wonderful to walk up it to find a lovely, smiling woman with a tray of champagne at the end. Even though Opus was no responsible for our flower arrangements, when high winds started to blow and knock the vases over, the staff very ingeniously filled the vases with stones from the construction area in the front garage. One remembrance I’ll have of that day was the barmaid leaning down giving maraschino cherries to some of the little kids. The food, as usual, was great. And, once again, we were blessed with extremely hot, humid weather, this time including driving rain. Your staff was soaked to the skin with wet hair and blouses, yet they continuously maintained their professionalism and never stopped smiling. Thank you so much. Sincerely, Dear Mr. Kokas & Opus One, I made a reservation at your fabulous restaurant for the early seating New Year’s Eve at the last minute, we decided to take my son with us to dinner (a nightmare for the restaurant I’m sure), but he was in his new suit, and very excited! Your staff was most kind & professional. He was the only child in the place, yet the bartender made him his own blend of virgin daiquiris and your entire staff was most gracious and festive!
